Cyber Vulnerability Threat Analyst Role

We are seeking a skilled Cyber Vulnerability and Threat Analyst to join our team.

As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for delivering threat and vulnerability assessments and associated tasks with business impact analysis.

  • Collate and analyse catalogues of information and technology assets for vulnerability assessment.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and business impact analysis for medium complexity information systems.
  • Contribute to the selection and deployment of vulnerability assessment tools and techniques.
  • Set direction, plan and lead the organisation's approach to threat intelligence, including the use of suppliers.
  • Identify requirements for threat intelligence based on the assets to be protected and the types of intelligence that can help protect those assets.
  • Engage with and influence relevant stakeholders to communicate results of research and the required response.
  • Evaluate and ensure quality and accuracy of threat intelligence information. Review threat intelligence capabilities.

To be successful in this role, you must be able to satisfy the following key criteria:

  • Conduct Threat Assessments.
  • Create Cyber Threat Intelligence products.
  • Perform assessments of vulnerabilities when new CVEs are announced.
  • Perform business impact analysis of vulnerabilities in relation to department systems.
  • Conduct meetings, create associated reports, complete governance tasks.

Detailed knowledge of Splunk and/or Tenable is desirable, as well as experience working with Mandiant, Cyber Threat Intelligence products and integrating Vulnerabilities and Cyber Threat Intelligence.
