About This Role

Our team is looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineer to drive best practices across our engineering team, encouraging rigorous and efficient engineering process, writing specifications, and understanding risks. The successful candidate will own the development of large projects, lead technical conversations, and represent their team as a subject matter expert with cross-team credibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement well-tested and documented software solutions that meet business objectives

You Will Be Successful If You Have

  • A track record of curating technical quality standards, designing architectural approaches to support business objectives
  • Strong soft skills and a passion for being enterprising, thoughtful, and self-motivated
  • An exceptional academic background from both high school and university
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or a compelling narrative about your alternative path
  • Drive and a proven track record of going above and beyond expectations
  • Excellent organisational skills, self-starting, and able to deliver to schedule
  • Competency in researching new technology or approaches, and ability to tastefully and sustainably integrate changes and more modern approaches to technical projects
  • Comprehensive and insightful code review on items of any size within the project

  • Professional written and spoken English
  • Experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability

  • Experience with container technologies such as LXD, Docker and Kubernetes
