Role Overview

This role is critical in ensuring our department is sustainable, compliant, and continuously improving. As the go-to person for all things related to sustainability and compliance, you will be responsible for leading the Environmental Management System (EMS) team and assisting Facility Management with environmental, quality, and compliance issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the EMS team and coordinate audits, management reviews, committee meetings, and communication plans.
  • Ensure Facility Management related aspects of EMS certification and audit observations are met within prescribed deadlines.
  • Develop and execute a well-developed communications plan to drive EMS awareness, including the development and maintenance of an EMS HUB page, posters, digital signage, presentations, and team briefs for operator training.
  • Provide updates as necessary for the environmental section of the external website.
  • Support the EMS extension to Singapore as required.
  • Coordinate APCO annual reporting & action plans and in-house action plans, supporting packaging reviews as required and liaising with stakeholders to develop and improve the packaging library.
  • Review and investigate any Environmental Incidents and recommend or implement necessary improvements.
  • Conduct environmental risk assessments for proposed new chemicals to be used on site via Chemwatch tool.
  • Participate in implementing effective chemical control in the facility, working with OHS & EMS team to develop effective training mechanisms.
  • Monitor applicable state and country environmental compliance requirements and take action as necessary if any relevant changes occur.
  • Work with business to provide responses for EMD global or external queries/surveys.
  • Assist with ESG report development through local data gathering and coordination of global site energy and waste data collection.
  • Assist manufacturing and product development project teams with alternative recycling solutions for difficult-to-recycle waste materials and components.
  • Monitor and propose new solutions to reduce utilities usage where possible.
  • Act as Business Excellence champion, coordinating team actions and creating awareness for improvements.
  • Coordinate annual Environmental Testing (IAWQ, Noise, Emissions, etc.) with occupational hygienists.
  • Contribute as necessary to budgets, tenders, and supplier agreements.
  • Encourage sustainability efforts across ResMed and the Campus, monitoring progress in CO2e emission reduction, energy and water use reduction, and other sustainability measures.
  • Investigate and recommend smart building technology to support workplace sustainability initiatives.
  • Act as the primary QMS audit liaison for FM.
  • Coordinate document management tasks including change-notes, IOs, CAPA, etc.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (relevant area).
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Developing professional expertise, applying company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
