The Role:

  • Location: Mackay, Queensland
  • Salary: $88,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
  • 100% On-site

The Responsibilities:

  • Deliver advanced incident management, diagnosis, and troubleshooting for service desk tickets, ensuring quality and timely resolutions.
  • Provide comprehensive support for desktop, networking, printing, and ancillary equipment.
  • Maintain a fit-for-purpose IT environment that aligns with and supports the company's objectives.
  • Collaborate with technical specialists to transition systems and services into production.
  • Develop and deliver documentation for business-as-usual processes.
  • Demonstrate strong technical skills across the Microsoft suite (Server/Desktop).
  • Identify and recommend system enhancements and improvements based on site needs.
  • Contribute to long-term IT team planning and direction.
  • Occasionally travel within Australia, with overnight stays as required.

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Qualifications in IT/Business or at least a Diploma in IT/Networking; CompTIA A+ certification is desirable.
  • 5 years of demonstrated experience in ICT operations and support within a Microsoft environment.
  • Proven expertise in IT Service Desk and Desktop Support (hardware and software).
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in phone and email interactions.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with end-users.
  • Capable of working autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
  • Valid driver's licence (required for travel to other sites).
