Key Responsibilities- Assist with project planning and preparation of technical deliverables
- Conduct shallow ground geophysical surveys using various techniques
- Participate in over-water geophysical surveys, including seismic reflection and resistivity data collection
- Manage fieldwork during geophysics investigations and ensure safety on site
- Process and interpret data using industry-standard geophysical interpretation software
- Integrate geophysical and geotechnical data
- Maintain and calibrate geophysical equipment
- Use initiative and judgment to resolve problems
- Identify safety hazards and report incidents
- Liaise with specialists from other disciplines or offices within WSP
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Basic analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good time management ability
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently autonomously and in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Flexibility to work in the field for extended periods, sometimes in remote areas
- Australian drivers' license
- Bachelor of Science or related discipline, majoring in geophysics
- Postgraduate qualification in geophysics preferred but not essential
