Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Boiler Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our boiler systems.

This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Check and maintain boilers to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Monitor coal usage, chemical controls, soot blowing, water softener tests, and blow-down procedures
  • Clean soot and maintain boiler performance to maximise efficiency
  • Respond to breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimise downtime
  • Use strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills to resolve issues efficiently
  • Inform the Maintenance Supervisor of repairs and required maintenance
  • Work closely with the Operations team to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with team members in a constructive and supportive environment
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety at all times
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with boilers or in a maintenance-related role
  • Strong technical and troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to safety, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Proactive, reliable, and willing to learn
