Job Title: Senior Optical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled professional to develop cutting-edge optical systems for our quantum sensors. Working closely with our engineering and research teams, you will design and build free-space and fibre-optical systems that meet the highest standards of precision.

  • Be responsible for conceptualising, designing, constructing, and testing ruggedised and miniaturised optical systems for deployment in challenging environments
  • Collaborate with physicists, engineers, and stakeholders to create measurement systems that set new benchmarks for precision
  • Participate in the development of integrated, tested, and validated sensor systems that push the boundaries of quantum sensing technology
  • Contribute to critical field trials with key industry partners, driving innovation and advancing scientific understanding
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in physics or a related field
  • Proven track record of delivering high-precision free-space optical designs, including analysis, tolerancing, alignment, and validation
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing with ZEMAX
