Our mission is to make secondhand shopping the norm. As champions of reuse, we're committed to keeping one-of-a-kind finds out of landfill and helping people reuse, repurpose and upcycle.
About this role
You will be responsible for managing store performance, developing your team's capability, and ensuring our customers and not-for-profit donors receive exceptional service.
A typical day might include:
- Analysing the previous week's results and adjusting the sales floor to maximise sales
- Meeting with production leaders to plan production for the next month
- Leading a safety meeting with the Joint Health and Safety Committee
- Coaching a production team member on how to grade an item
- Welcoming a new team member into our business, ensuring they have an engaging onboarding experience
About you
To ensure you can hit the ground running, you will have a mix of the following:
- Availability for full-time hours
- Prior experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication, coaching and leadership skills
- Impact driven – you want to make an impact on your team and community
- Customer focused – providing an exceptional experience at every interaction with valued customers and donors
- Eager to learn – always looking to find a better way, adapt and improve
- Do the right thing – passionate about standing up for what's right and doing what you say you will
- Celebrate uniqueness – recognising that we all have something special to contribute
- Passion for second-hand shopping – making secondhand, second nature
