Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Description:

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality management systems, recommending inspection and sampling techniques, and monitoring production to ensure compliance with design and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and recommend quality control plans, process control procedures, and testing and analysis procedures to ensure products meet specifications and standards.
  • Document quality issues and performance measures for management review.
  • Assist with the implementation of organizational quality management systems on projects to ensure quality objectives and targets are met.
  • Prepare audit reports summarizing production and quality issues together with recommended corrective actions.
  • Identify and report quality objectives, requirements, risks, and other issues that may adversely impact the surety of successful project delivery to the Quality Manager.
  • Provide technical advice and assistance to management for quality-related activities.
  • Understand compliance and reporting procedures and processes.
  • Manage the reporting of non-compliances and ensure dispositions, remedial solutions, and corrective actions are effectively implemented.
  • Review subcontractors' quality documentation and ensure they fulfill their quality system obligations.
  • Attend inspections to ensure works are compliant with design and project requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering (or similar), Science, Building, Construction, Quality Management, or Project Management.
  • Ideal 3+ years' experience in a quality representative role.
  • Quality assurance experience gained preferably within the construction industry working on infrastructure projects. Water infrastructure advantageous.
  • Experience in developing and implementing project QA management systems.
  • Passion for developing your career with our organization and be mentored by industry experts.
  • Ability to travel to and work on-site at Lake MacDonald.
