SMSF Accountant

We are seeking an experienced SMSF Accountant to join our specialist team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality SMSF accounting and administration services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist SMSF accounting and administration services in accordance with regulatory and legislative requirements.
- Confidently navigate Class software to ensure efficient and accurate completion of tasks.
- Prepare fund activity statements, financial statements, and annual returns to a high standard.
- Liaise with clients to answer queries, provide regular updates, and proactively request documents and information to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Research and provide expert advice on various superannuation-related matters, subject to review by senior team members.
- Communicate with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) on client matters, including queries, payment arrangements, remissions, and lodgements.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to achieve collective goals and provide high-quality results for clients.
- Coordinate with administration to ensure efficient completion of collations and client correspondence.
- Complete daily timesheets and adhere to budget requirements, preparing fees with a high attention to detail.
- Attend training sessions and actively participate in team development activities.
We are looking for an individual with the following qualities and qualifications:
- Previous experience in the SMSF industry, providing support to SMSF clients.
- Completion or working towards completion of Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) qualifications.
- A strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Class software is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and make informed decisions.
- Demonstrated experience working in a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to operate Microsoft Office 365, including Word and Excel.
