Job Title: Director of Pathology Service Reform

The Alfred/Monash Shared Pathology Reform Project is seeking an experienced leader to drive the establishment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of this complex project.

  • Led the development of governance structures, stakeholder engagement plans, budgets, risk registers, and strategic project documentation.
  • Managed the agreed reform activities and ensured compliance with safety, quality, risk, and financial management standards.
  • Budget management of major capital investment. Developed business cases and reported on financial performance.

A seasoned leader with a strong background in health service delivery and project management is required to bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant business or health discipline.
  • Proven experience in leading complex reform projects within healthcare.
  • Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
  • A deep understanding of contemporary health systems and policy directions.

This role presents an opportunity to shape the future of the pathology network across two of Victoria's leading health networks and eventual expansion to Western Health.
