Occupational Therapist Role Overview

This role involves delivering comprehensive occupational therapy services to individuals living with neurological conditions. You will conduct detailed assessments, design and implement effective interventions, and facilitate equipment provision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough OT assessments addressing daily living, physical, sensory, and cognitive needs.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and external stakeholders to develop personalised plans and facilitate equipment supply.
  • Navigate funding models to ensure clients receive necessary equipment.
  • Provide sensitive care to clients requiring palliative care, ensuring dignity and comfort.
  • Maintain accurate client records for high-quality care.
  • Mentor OT students, OTAs, and volunteers, contributing to professional development.
Essential Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy or equivalent qualification.
  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • Valid Australian driver's license.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (willingness to obtain).
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
