Job Overview

Employed as an ARC Grant-Funded Researcher (Level A), you will be part of our dynamic team working on a 3-year fixed term project. Your primary responsibility will be to develop mathematical models that underpin and drive novel inertial microfluidic technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Your main duties will include:

  • Undertaking high-quality research in mathematical modelling employing differential equations;
  • Developing computer programs for numerical solution of differential equations;
  • Collaborating with international researchers on this cutting-edge project;
  • Providing theoretical understanding of inertial migration for biomedical and industrial applications;
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD in Applied Mathematics or a related discipline of science or engineering;
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake high-quality research commensurate with career stage, including publications in international peer-reviewed journals of high quality;
  • Strong interpersonal communication and organisational skills to enable effective working within a diverse research team.
