Job Title: Facilities Management Officer

This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, safety-conscious and ready to make a difference in the community.

The Facilities Management Officer will play a vital role in keeping our centre running safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and carry out cleaning, maintenance, and regular inspections of the facility.
  • Check and maintain equipment, buildings, and grounds as per the maintenance plan.
  • Test pool water, record results, and manage chemical levels to meet safety rules.
  • Keep an accurate list of all equipment and report any changes.
  • Work with the Centre Coordinator to manage safety risks and follow health and safety rules.
  • Train and supervise staff, ensure safe chemical handling, and follow pool safety guidelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in an aquatic facility overseeing capital works, pool water quality and property, plant and equipment maintenance or similar.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals.
  • Ability to manage projects and engage, schedule and supervise contractors and tradespersons.
  • Experience managing risk and work health and safety obligations, preferably in a sport/recreation environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the relevant statutory, regulatory and policy obligations relating to the management of aquatic facilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
