Job Description

At St Columba's Catholic College, we are seeking a passionate and motivated Religious Education teacher to join our school community. As a permanent, full-time position commencing in 2026, this role will provide an excellent opportunity for a dedicated educator to enrich the learning of our students.

As a member of our teaching team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Religious Education programs to secondary students, Years 7-12. You will have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the subject area, as well as accreditation to teach Religious Education within Catholic Schools, Parramatta Diocese.

The successful candidate will have sound understanding of differentiated learning strategies to cater for students' needs, lesson plans, use of technology, teaching practices, and delivery of assessment and learning feedback.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Religious Education programs to secondary students
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of students
  • Use technology to enhance student learning experiences
  • Assess and provide feedback to students on their progress

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A thorough knowledge and understanding of Religious Education to secondary students
  • Accreditation to teach Religious Education within Catholic Schools, Parramatta Diocese
  • Sound understanding of differentiated learning strategies
  • Ability to develop and implement effective lesson plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
