
Sales Portfolio Manager

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our Corporate and Commercial Team in Marsh Townsville, QLD. This hybrid role requires working at least three days a week in the office.
This position is ideal for an experienced insurance broker with 1-2 years' experience managing a portfolio of SME business. It offers exposure to diverse risks, involvement in new business tenders and proposals, building a network of opportunities and assisting with complex insurance programs.
- Maintain key revenue-generating accounts while ensuring high-quality customer service.
- Develop, pursue and convert new business opportunities.
- Grow a commercial portfolio through new logos and organic expanded opportunities.
- On-board new clients and deliver on our value proposition.
- Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with insurers.
- Plan and implement effective renewal and broking strategies.
- Ensure effective account retention and defense strategies are in place for all clients.
- Actively participate in claim-related matters.
- Ideal candidate has 1–2 years' broking experience.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously within a multi-skilled team.
- Moderate knowledge of risks and insurance products for key industry sectors.
- Motivation to self-start, enhanced by time management skills.
- Capability to identify and address issues through innovative thinking.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft suite and demonstrated ability to learn systems quickly.
- Tier 1 Insurance Broking Qualifications or higher.
- Strong new business network to generate opportunities.
- Energy, enthusiasm, and a proactive attitude.
- High degree of commitment to client service.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
