Director User Experience (UX) Design Job Description

The Director User Experience (UX) Design will be working within the Life Sciences division of Clarivate Analytics, on both existing and new web-based applications intended to meet the needs of professionals working across the drug development lifecycle.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled UX Design Director to lead our UX design team and drive the strategic direction of our user experience design initiatives.

As a key member of our Life Sciences division, you will be responsible for developing and implementing UX design strategies that align with business goals and user needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the UX design team to deliver high-quality user experience design solutions for web-based applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define UX strategies aligned with business goals and user needs.
• Oversee user research initiatives to gather insights into user behavior, preferences, and pain points, and use findings to inform design decisions.
• Guide the creation of interactive prototypes and conduct usability testing to validate design concepts and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
• 10+ years of experience in UX design, with progressively increasing responsibilities and leadership roles.
• A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, User Experience Design, or a related area.
• Proficiency in UX design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar, as well as a strong understanding of design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
