Key Responsibilities:
- Admitting and Discharging Patients: You will be responsible for admitting and discharging patients from our surgery, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- General Reception Duties: You will provide general reception duties, including answering phones and booking appointments, to ensure our clients receive excellent customer service.
- Providing Product Advice: You will provide specific product advice to clients, helping them make informed decisions about their pets' health and well-being.
- Monitoring Patients: You will monitor patients during and after surgery, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Performing Laboratory Tests: You will place catheters, take bloods, and perform simple calculations and other laboratory tests, such as blood smears, urinalysis, and ear smears.
- Nursing Consults: You will perform nursing consults, providing expert advice and guidance to clients.
- Supervising Junior Staff: You will supervise junior kennel hands, ensuring they receive the training and support they need to excel in their roles.
- Teamwork: You will work closely with senior staff members, taking direction and contributing to the success of our team.
Personal Attributes:
We are looking for a Veterinary Nurse who is passionate about their work, hardworking, and confident. You must have great phone manner and client communication skills, be willing to take direction from senior staff members, and have a minimum of one year's experience working in a veterinary clinic. This is not an entry-level position, and we are seeking a team player who is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our clinic.
