Category Management Expert Wanted

We are seeking an experienced Category Manager to join our team in Sydney. As the business continues to evolve, we need someone who can help us develop and expand our product offering with a long-term view to grow a small team.

About the Role

  • Lead the range review process, including customer presentation, category planning, and product sourcing.
  • Educate the business on consumer trends, market dynamics, and category management best practices.
  • Create and drive category management projects to optimize ranges, improve sales, and increase profitability.
  • Translate critical consumer insights and analyze consumer data to inform business decisions.
  • Analyze market performance on different product lines to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Maximize all product sourcing and development opportunities to drive business results.
  • Work with partners on future product development opportunities to stay ahead of the competition.

About You

  • You will need to be self-driven and comfortable being hands-on, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • You will have strong knowledge of category management principles, providing actionable insights and compelling stories.
  • Ideal qualifications include a business or psychology discipline and previous experience as a Category Manager or Senior Category Analyst in an FMCG business.
  • You will enjoy taking a proactive approach, be a natural problem solver, and have exceptional stakeholder management skills.
