Event Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Event Coordinator to join our team. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for the planning, organisation, and execution of events that engage and transform organisations by serving as an invaluable partner on our customers' journey to success.

The successful candidate will have imagination and curiosity to bring events to life, and will be able to cultivate a robust and collaborative relationship between our dedicated onsite team and venue management.

The primary responsibility of the Event Coordinator will revolve around ensuring the efficient and safe running of event staging services within the venues, building and maintaining relationships with venues and clients to ensure successful client relations and smooth running of all events, and educating and advising clients and venue staff on the most appropriate audio-visual equipment, digital options and the necessary crew to best meet their presentation needs and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the planning, organisation, and execution of events from conception to completion
  • Build and maintain relationships with venues, clients, and stakeholders to ensure successful events
  • Develop and implement event concepts, themes, and strategies that align with business objectives
  • Maintain and disseminate event schedules, timelines, and budgets
  • Educate and advise clients and venue staff on event production, logistics, and technical requirements
  • IDentify opportunities to increase revenue and improve operational efficiency
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to develop and optimise individual and team capability

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in the events industry, preferably in a coordinator or manager role
  • Excellent planning, organisational, time management, and account management skills
  • Strong sales and business acumen, track record in managing a high performing sales team within a third party venue
  • Ability to foster meaningful business relationships and negotiate contracts
  • Prior experience in rostering and cost management, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Qualification in Hospitality or Events is highly regarded
