Maintenance Supervisor - Heavy Plant Lead

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead one of our heavy plant maintenance teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring maintenance is executed to a high standard and aligned with the strategic needs of the business.

The Maintenance Supervisor will lead a team responsible for safe and efficient execution of maintenance, providing leadership and direction with a focus on developing a safe, consistent, productive, and motivated crew. This includes collaborating with various stakeholders within the mining and maintenance teams to provide the best outcome.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Be a visible leader, maintaining high expectations towards site safety standards.
  • Provide leadership to your team, setting clear expectations, upholding accountabilities, reviewing performance, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities for reporting and analysis purposes.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to procure necessary parts and equipment for repairs.
  • Identify and implement continual improvement strategies in safety and technical matters.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Mechanical or Electrical trade certificate and/or tertiary mechanical/electrical engineering qualification.
  • Previous HME maintenance supervisory experience within an open cut mining environment.
  • Heavy plant maintenance experience with draglines, excavators, haul trucks, and ancillary equipment.
  • Knowledge of relevant mining related legislation.
  • Ability to make data-driven risk-based decisions.
  • Strong frontline leadership skills with effective written and verbal communication.
