About this role:

We are looking for an experienced Hydrogeologist to join our Sydney team.

">

This is a great opportunity to work on various projects including transport/infrastructure, mining, energy, water resource management/supply and environmental impact assessments.

  • Predicting groundwater flow pathways from closed mines
  • Groundwater inflow assessment for major underground road tunnelling projects
  • Hydrogeological investigations, modelling and assessment to inform design of hydraulic well barriers
  • Derisking groundwater impacts for construction related to water utility infrastructure
  • Groundwater impact assessment related to renewable energy infrastructure
  • Conceptualisation, modelling and groundwater impact characterisation at fuel terminals
  • Using applied tracers and other methods to investigate fault behaviour
  • Numerical modelling to support landfill liner and leachate system design

Your responsibilities:

  • Conduct field investigations and data collection related to groundwater resources
  • Manage and analyse hydrogeological data
  • Contribute to technical reports
  • Support proposal development for new projects
  • Comply with SHEQ obligations and identify safety hazards
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Requirements:

">
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geosciences, Environmental Science or a related field
  • 1-5 years of experience in hydrogeology or environmental consulting with good site-based experience
  • Experience in GIS and hydrogeological modelling software is advantageous
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
