We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Sustainability and Compliance Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing our Environmental Management System and ensuring its alignment with university policies and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the development and implementation of the Environmental Management System (EMS), ensuring alignment with ISO 14001 standards and promoting continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create policies, procedures, and training initiatives related to environmental management and compliance.
- Monitor EMS performance, conduct reviews and audits, and provide reports on compliance, effectiveness, and improvement opportunities.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure environmental objectives are met and integrate EMS into existing business systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, science, or a related field, along with extensive experience in environmental management.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing environmental management systems, including integration and adherence to policy, procedures, and legislative requirements.
- Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and ability to monitor changes, ensuring compliance obligations are met.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
