Main Responsibilities:
  • Tax Compliance Preparation: Assist in the preparation of inputs for tax compliance obligations, including consolidated group income tax return, FBT returns, and BEPS Pillar Two implementation.
  • Financial Reporting Support: Contribute to half-year and full-year financial reporting, including determination of appropriate tax adjustments, tax effect accounting recognition, and related disclosures.
  • Tax Software Utilization: Use Tax software for return preparation, data consolidation, disclosures, and identification of process improvements.
  • Tax Research and Advisory: Perform tax technical research on various tax and commercial issues affecting the organization. Provide advisory support on taxes from an expert perspective.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Assist with regulator queries such as ATO compliance reviews and State Revenue authority audits.
  • Project Support: Deliver tax technical advice and ensure accurate end-to-end implementation of appropriate tax treatments for Optus projects.
