About the Role

As a Senior Credit Analyst - Mortgage Underwriting, you will play a key role in assessing and decisioning variation requests for existing customers. This involves evaluating requests against current Australia and New Zealand guidelines, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the non-bank mortgage industry in Australia or New Zealand. Your expertise in credit/underwriting, negotiation, and written and verbal communication skills will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide credit/underwriting support and decisioning to variation requests that impact risk position
  • Approve or decline, subject to additional conditions, any applications which fall within their delegated lending authority.
  • Present recommendations to approve variations for any applications that may fall outside their delegated lending authority.
  • Assume responsibility for resolving customer queries relating to variations and deliver high standards of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, processes and procedures, and industry regulations for all customer service interactions.
  • Maintain relationships with the key stakeholders within the business.
