Senior Environmental Leader

The Senior Environmental and Community Advisor position plays a pivotal role in leading the organization's environmental compliance initiatives, fostering positive community relationships, and driving growth through progressive rehabilitation programs.
This leadership opportunity offers the chance to contribute to a collaborative work environment where expertise is valued, promote sustainable practices across operations and exploration teams, and enhance the overall reputation of the organization.
- Direct environmental compliance efforts with careful attention to regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain effective community engagement strategies
- Mentor and support the Environment & Community team's professional growth
- Ensure adherence to environmental standards and regulatory reporting
- Guide operational teams towards adopting sustainable practices
Key Qualifications:
- Degree in Environmental Management, Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar senior advisory role
- At least 2 years in mining or heavy industry
- Strong understanding of NSW environmental legislation, approvals, and reporting requirements
- Proven ability to manage teams, projects, and stakeholder relationships effectively
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and mentoring skills with a collaborative approach
