Strategic Demand Planner

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Demand Planner to join our team at Bega Cheese. As a key member of our Strategic Demand Planning team, you will be responsible for delivering a robust, assumption-based 24-month forecast that will enable visibility of long-term demand to operations and provide a financial forecast to drive the delivery of annual targets.
You will work across our Bega Group portfolio, which includes Vegemite, Peanut Butter, Cheese Spreads, and Zoosh Dips. Your role will involve providing analysis and insights each month to help improve forecast accuracy and support business KPIs, including DIF, minimizing waste, and write-off.
As a Strategic Demand Planner, you will act as a key liaison between the Commercial Sales/Category/Finance functions and the Supply and Operations functions, facilitating the flow of relevant information between parties to ensure change requirements are understood.
Responsibilities- Assess the impact of market changes or significant variances in the forecast and recommend appropriate revisions and tactics.
- Maintain demand planning systems to create accurate demand forecasts that incorporate insights and trends.
- Use the Demand KPIs for root cause analysis and to drive improvements in accuracy and bias.
- Have a continuous improvement mindset and be keen to develop better ways of working through teamwork.
You will be excited and driven by a fast-paced environment and be able to juggle conflicting priorities with ease. This is a great opportunity to make an impact on the commercial performance.
- Ideal experience in demand planning, forecasting, and replenishment processes and systems.
- Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel skills.
