About the Opportunity
As a senior strategic role, you will drive and expand business partnerships & relationships across a portfolio of insurance brokers.
You will lead the creation of mutually beneficial business strategies, execution and engagement across a range of risk transfer solutions and partnerships.
You will work alongside underwriting teams steering strategic opportunities for growth across a number of products and services, leveraging cross/up selling to deepen our share of wallet and position us as long-term partners.
We seek applicants with outstanding relationship management skills who can build trusted relationships and partnerships, positioning themselves as advisors demonstrating a deep knowledge of stakeholders' worlds and macro/micro factors affecting them.
About the Team
The Distribution Manager is embedded in the local Customer & Distribution team and reports directly into the CEO, ANZ, steered by the APAC Regional Distribution Manager working closely with the Global Distribution Management leader to implement the distribution strategy.
About You
You have an exceptional ability to develop quality long term broker relationships and influence decisions at C-suite and senior executive level.
This is evidenced through your proven track record, references, broad industry network, and established profile with corporate insurance brokers, risk managers, and insurance professionals.
You will have significant experience in the insurance market in distribution management, underwriting, risk management, or insurance marketing complemented by practical experience in non-standard risk transfer solutions.
Your leadership style enables you to navigate large international matrix organisations effectively and pragmatically.
You are naturally engaging, able to negotiate and align multiple parties' interests with minimal effort, and can steer interests into aligned ones.
You have strong capability and experience in strategy design & execution.
You can originate leads, being solution-driven, spot and design differentiating innovative solutions to secure competitive advantage and convert business opportunities.
You extract relevant insights from data & analytics to drive your relationships and effective engagement with partner brokers.
You enjoy team collaboration and contribute to local and global business initiatives.
Key Requirements
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Strong negotiation and marketing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills comfortable liaising with partner brokers at C-suite level.
- Demonstrated strategic vision, having a strong eye for business and results orientation.
- Track record in sales, relationship management, and new business origination.
- Ability to be an inspiring leader and engager of a broad internal and industry network of key partners.
- Strong leadership skills highly collaborative able to build large networks within a large organisation.
- Fluency in English (essential).
