Job Title: Mechanical Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Operations Manager to join our team at a leading mechanical repairs service. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of one of our established workshops.

The successful candidate will have strong financial management skills, as well as experience in managing a team of staff. You will also possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive business growth and cultivate new opportunities.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for the overall performance and success of the workshop, including overseeing daily operations, managing internal and external clients, and ensuring high-quality customer service. You will also play a key role in developing and implementing strategies to drive business growth and increase revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day running of a mechanical workshop
  • Managing internal and external clients
  • Willingsness to be hands on and work on tools
  • Job planning and customer liaison
  • Estimating and quoting
  • Quality control and management
  • Workshop safety management

About You:

  • Management experience essential
  • Trade qualified Diesel fitter/Diesel mechanic/LV Mechanic preferred but not essential
  • Experience with automotive workshops a bonus
  • Strong communication and people management skills
  • Proven record for leading a successful team
  • Ability to manage all aspects of the business effectively
  • Proficient in computer skills
