Facilitate Meaningful Child Parent Relationships

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families by facilitating safe and meaningful contact between children and their parents.

The Child Contact Supervisor will compile reports based on observations during visits, which will be provided with training. Scheduling visits typically take place in the child contact center or a neutral environment such as a park, playground, or library.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure safe and healthy interactions between children and their parents during facilitated contacts.
  • Conduct home studies and assessments to determine suitability for contact arrangements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A recognised qualification in Education, Child Development, Psychology, Social Work, or Social Sciences, or relevant experience in related disciplines.
  • Experience engaging clients in a human service setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to remain impartial and flexible, working effectively in a stressful environment.
