About the Role

We are seeking a Service Assistant to join our team at Kangaroo Island Health Service. As a Service Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with cleaning and catering duties in our hospital and aged care facilities.
  • Prepare, serve, and deliver food to clients.
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks.
Requirements
  • A current driver's licence and willingness to drive on country roads.
  • Flexibility and commitment to participate in a rostering system.
  • At least a limited level of experience in housekeeping, cooking, and laundry.
  • Experience working with Aboriginal consumers.
  • Basic knowledge of safe working conditions, Food Safety Standards, and Infection Control Standards.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Successful completion of Year 11 High School or equivalent.
  • A current First Aid Certificate.
  • Experience in housekeeping, cooking, and laundry.
