Job Overview

The Cyber Incident Responder will lead major investigations in relation to data extraction and analysis. This role works closely with various teams, requiring a high level of technical skill and excellent communication skills.

This position demands expertise in leading or participating in cyber security operational teams. The ideal candidate must possess 5+ years of experience in this field, along with proficiency in incident response and analysis within a SOC environment.

In addition to the necessary experience, the successful candidate will have a strong understanding of risk modelling, incident detection, log analysis, and security consulting and assessment. They must also be proficient in Splunk and other relevant platforms.

Achieving success in this role requires exceptional critical thinking and security analytics skills, as well as the ability to excel in high-pressure environments. The ideal candidate must be able to effectively communicate at both technical and executive levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead major investigations, working closely with HR, Group Audit, Privacy, Group Security, and Legal teams.
  • Provide cyber security support to critical technology projects.
  • Report into the Head of Group Cyber Security Centre, delivering a group-wide service of cyber security operational incident response, containment, and support.
Requirements
  • At least one of CISSP, CEH, GCIH, GCIA, GREM, GPEN, CISM, CREST, or other relevant industry certifications.
  • Expert communication skills and ability to engage at both technical and executive levels.
  • Strong critical thinking and security analytics skills.
  • Ability to excel in high pressure environments.
  • Working knowledge and experience with Splunk and other platforms.
  • Practical experience with Incident Response.
  • Possesses 5+ years of experience in Information Security and Cyber Security.
  • Knowledge and expertise in risk modelling, incident detection, log analysis, and security consulting and assessment.
  • Have led and owned Cyber Incident Response as a function.
  • Experience and working knowledge of the following:
  • Cyber Security report writing experience.
  • Client service and client management experience.
  • Network Vulnerability assessment experience.
  • Web Application Vulnerability assessment experience.
  • SIEM, SEM, and log monitoring and analytics experience.
