Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Trainee to join our Orthopaedic team.

About the Role

The successful applicant will provide safe and high-quality clinical care, under supervision, to adult and paediatric Orthopaedic patients.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who wish to gain experience in one of the busiest Orthopaedic departments in NSW.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical care to adult and paediatric Orthopaedic patients.
  • Gaining experience from attending Orthopaedic surgeons and other trainees.
  • Becoming proficient in managing emergency and non-emergency presentations.
  • Exposure to various elective adult orthopaedics and trauma cases.
  • Supporting pre-requisites for future training positions with the Royal College of Surgeons.

Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent qualification.
  • At least three years' post-graduate experience in public hospital service.
  • Demonstrated commitment to relevant training program.
  • Ability to work independently within a supervised environment.
  • Excellent teamwork, time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Sufficient skills knowledge and experience to practice as a safe and competent orthopaedic trainee.
  • Commitment to participate in after-hours, weekend and on-call rosters.
