Job Title: Clinical Haematology Specialist

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Haematology Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with patients, scientific staff, and other health professionals to achieve high-quality service provision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with patients, scientific staff, and other health professionals to develop expertise in the diagnosis and management of haematological disorders.
  • Work in a multi-disciplinary team to implement treatment protocols, quality monitoring requirements, clinical audit, and critical reviews.
  • Provide routine and urgent medical assessment and clinical care to Haematology patients being screened and participating in clinical trials.
  • Support the organisation's vision and values, including commitment to equity, health improvement, timeliness, efficiency, and evidence-based service delivery.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Hold MBBS or equivalent qualification, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category, and completed training with FRACP/FRCPA or FRACP only or international equivalent for Haematology.
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team in planning, delivery, and coordination of patient care.
  • High level communication skills, with ability to convey information to clinical and non-clinical audiences.
  • Good organisational and time management skills with ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
  • Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management.
  • High level independent clinical skills and judgement, with sound decision-making and problem solving, and willingness to learn independently.
  • Previous experience in and willingness to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and training.

Requirements:

  • Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC).
  • Current AHPRA Registration.
  • Valid NSW Driver's Licence.
