About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Psychologist to join our team at NSW Health, working in the Youth Health Services department. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological assessments and interventions to young people with psychosocial issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based psychological assessments and interventions to address the needs of consumers with a wide range of behavioural and emotional disorders.
  • Participate in the evaluation of clinical outcomes of services and assist in the development and provision of education and training programs.
  • Supervise Psychologists and other disciplines working within the LHD, as required.
Requirements
  • Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated effective experience in assessment, intervention, and evaluation of clinical outcomes with diverse patient and/or consumer populations.
  • Demonstrated experience working independently in the provision of patient/consumer-focused care.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the quality improvement process for service development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to accomplish service goals and improved patient and/or consumer care and outcomes.
  • Demonstrated high-level verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit the target audience.
  • Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2).
