
Health and Safety Specialist

We have a fascinating chance for an experienced professional to take on the role of Health and Safety Specialist. This position will be based at our Mt Thorley location, where you will work closely with internal stakeholders to promote compliance with safety protocols and initiatives.
This job requires regular travel to support key branches in Regional NSW, with occasional visits to smaller branches. A fully maintained vehicle will be provided for business use, with reasonable personal use permitted.
This is a full-time permanent position, working Monday to Friday.
About the RoleThe primary objective of this role is to develop and implement strategies that maintain a safe and healthy workplace environment.
You will conduct incident investigations, provide advice and assistance on best practices, and engage with the workforce to promote a positive safety culture.
Your experience should include recognized qualifications in WHS and several years' experience in an HSE role within an industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement health and safety strategies to maintain a harm-free workplace.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and identify actions to improve our safety culture.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on best practices to promote a positive health and safety culture.
- Establish meaningful partnerships with managers and key stakeholders.
- Engage with the workforce to promote a positive safety culture.
- A recognised qualification in WHS and extensive experience in an HSE role within an industrial environment.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of WHS legislation and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and establish relationships.
- Able to work autonomously while balancing a collaborative approach with the overall team.
- High attention to detail with the ability to identify continuous improvement initiatives.
- Developed analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to provide recommendations and action as required.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities.
