Personal Banker Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Personal Banker to join our team. As a Personal Banker, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with our clients.

Your primary goal will be to understand the financial needs of our customers and provide them with tailored solutions to achieve their goals. You will work closely with our customers to identify their requirements and preferences, and use your product knowledge to offer suitable banking products and services.

In addition to your sales role, you will also be expected to coach customers on our digital banking offerings and refer them to specialist teams as needed. You will be accountable for meeting sales and referral targets while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong ability to build rapport with customers. Previous banking experience is not essential, but high-performing energy and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service are key requirements.

You will be required to have strong experience in customer-facing or phone-based sales roles, with a proven track record of achieving performance KPIs. Resilience, tenacity, and flexibility are also essential due to the dynamic nature of the role. Comfortable working with numbers and adept at navigating multiple systems, you will be able to balance sales and customer service responsibilities effectively.
