Role Overview

As a Developmental Educator at Everyday Independence, you'll work with a united team of talented change makers to break down barriers for people with disabilities and ensure NDIS-funded participants achieve the best possible outcomes for a significantly improved quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centered support and planning for people with disabilities, their families, and support teams
  • Build strong relationships to help them envision a life full of positive experiences and opportunities for people of all ages
  • Work alongside participants and their key supports to develop new skills and habits
  • Champion the role of a social model practitioner by helping people overcome barriers that keep them from engaging with their local community and the wider world
Requirements
  • Bachelor or Masters of Disability or equivalent
  • Eligibility to be a member of the DEAI
  • Passion for removing barriers using the social model of therapy
  • Empathy and understanding, while being open and non-judgmental
  • Ability to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working with Children's Check
  • Valid driver's license
