About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Speech Pathologist to join our multi-disciplinary disability services team at the Benevolent Society. As a Speech Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, culturally appropriate assessment and interventions to individuals with disabilities who require language, literacy, voice, and specific eating, drinking, or total communication support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the communication needs of clients and develop personalized treatment plans to address these needs.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve communication skills, including speech, language, and literacy development.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists, behavior support practitioners, and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
  • Participate in support planning processes to deliver coordinated, effective service provision that meets the needs of clients.
  • Liaise with family members, carers, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
Requirements
  • Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Experience in applying evidence-based practice frameworks to assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate clinical supports.
  • Ability to work in a flexible, person-centered, and strengths-based way across diverse settings to meet client needs.
  • Willingness to contribute to and develop professional skills through internal practice communities.
  • Passion for supporting people with disabilities to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
