Key Responsibilities:
- Lead clinical responses and provide evidence-based AOD interventions, including assessment, care planning, counselling, harm minimisation, and relapse prevention strategies.
- Promote recovery, resilience, and improved mental health outcomes through collaborative, trauma-informed, and culturally safe practices.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of integrated care pathways in line with the recommendations of relevant systems.
- Work in partnership with local health, community, and social services to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
- Build capacity within the team by sharing AOD expertise, delivering internal training, contributing to reflective practice, and supporting the integration of AOD-informed approaches across clinical and non-clinical roles.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Youth Work, Mental Health, or other similar health-discipline.
- Certificate IV in AOD or 4 AOD core competencies or willingness to complete studies during employment.
- Proven experience conducting assessments, case management, and development of client-centred treatment plans with clients with complex needs.
- Proven clinical experience to apply evidence-based psychological therapies/interventions, including a robust understanding of theoretical concepts within Mental Health and AOD sciences.
- Strong interpersonal verbal skills with the ability to build rapport, negotiate, and facilitate client outcomes and resolve conflict with a diverse group of people with complex needs.
- Demonstrated experience in assessment of clients with complex needs utilising relevant AOD screening tools.
- Strong professional written case noting skills.
What We Offer:
- Opportunities to grow through professional and personal development opportunities, including regular supervision, goal-setting, and individual development plans.
- A variety of benefits to support your wellbeing and work-life balance.
