About the Role

As an APS 6 Project Manager at the Air Lift Systems Program Office (ALSPO), you will be responsible for managing a range of complex Air Mobility project activities. This role supports the C-130J Hercules and the C-27J Spartan aircraft and associate systems, working closely with primary contractors and suppliers to monitor, manage, and report on contractor performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide decision support for members and stakeholders.
  • Oversight of project schedules, deliverables, risks, and issues.
  • Management of project quality, performance, and resources.
  • Managing budgetary and expenditure obligations across diverse funding sources.
  • Oversight of program-level and project-level status reports.
  • Act as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on complex and sensitive Project related issues.
  • Resolve problems using professional expertise, identifying alternative courses of action, and implications for work health and safety activities.
Location and Working Arrangements

This role requires face-to-face contact with all stakeholders and may require you to be onsite at RAAF Base Richmond for at least 4 out of 5 days.

Additional Benefits

This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This premium provides additional compensation for positions critical to Defence capability.
