Accounts Payable Professional

This role is ideal for someone who has previously worked within a finance department, preferably in the FMCG industry.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Review and verify invoices and check requests.
    • Sort, code and match invoices & set up for payment.
    • Enter and upload invoices into the system.
  • Accounting Tasks:
    • Track expenses and process expense reports.
    • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
    • Prepare cheque runs.
  • Reconciliation and Analysis:
    • Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
    • Prepare analysis of accounts.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Maintain vendor files.
    • Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.
  • Reporting Support:
    • Produce monthly reports.
    • Assist with month-end closing.
  • Requirements:
    • Assertive yet tactful communication skills.
    • Pleasant telephone manner and interpersonal skills.
    • Detail oriented and strong organisational skills.
    • High degree accuracy.
    • Excellent written and communication skills.
    • Competent excel skills.
    • Understand basic general ledgers and journals.
    • A general understanding of administration duties.
    • Willingness to work as a team player.
