We are seeking a skilled Coal Quality Tester to join our team at ALS in Gladstone. As a Coal Quality Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of coal samples and performing physical tests to meet national and international standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical tests on coal samples, including sample preparation, crushing, dividing, and storage.
- Ensure all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to standard operating instructions.
- Validate results to ensure they are within repeatability tolerances and transfer validated results into the reporting system.
- Maintain the laboratory and its equipment according to company standards.
Requirements:
- A strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
- Good computer skills and ability to multitask.
- Comfortable with manual handling duties, including repetitive lifting.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new systems.
- A valid forklift license is desirable.
- Previous industry experience is an advantage.
