">This is a pivotal position within a dynamic Engineering and Design team. As a Steel Structure Designer, you will focus on designing steel structures for switch rooms, preparing calculations, reviewing drawings, and collaborating on high-impact projects that shape Australia's critical electrical infrastructure.
">Responsibilities
">- Develop structural designs for switch room steel structures, including sketches and engineering calculations.
- Review and verify engineering drawings for accuracy and compliance.
- Recommend improvements to structural engineering processes and construction strategies.
- Interpret and apply relevant Australian Standards, including AS/NZS 1170 and AS 4100.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production engineers, to ensure project success.
- Prepare and review fabrication drawings, ensuring alignment with design intent.
- Address client feedback and amend designs as needed.
- Support the development of rigging arrangement designs to industry standards.
Qualifications & Experience
">- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- A minimum of 4 years experience in designing steel structures.
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
