As a Disability Support Worker, you will empower individuals with disabilities to thrive, whether in their own homes, clinics, hospitals, or out in the community. Your work will focus on enhancing their quality of life, providing practical assistance, and offering emotional support to help them achieve their goals and live independently.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Community Access: Assist individuals in engaging with their local community and exploring new opportunities.
In-Home Support: Help with daily tasks and create a positive home environment.
Personal Care: Provide respectful, compassionate care to make individuals feel valued.
Domestic Assistance: Assist with light housekeeping to ensure a smooth living space.
**Requirements:**
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
- Comprehensive car insurance (or willingness to obtain)
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Completed/Enrolled and/or currently enrolled in higher education such as Nursing or Allied Health)
- Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Police Check, NDIS Yellow Card, and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Compassion and a caring nature, including willingness to assist with personal care
