Design Coordination Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Coordination Expert to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-focused individual who thrives on collaboration and contributing to large-scale outcomes.

As a key member of the design coordination team, you will work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve design challenges quickly and ensure designs comply with NSW Class 2 building regulations and industry standards.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years' experience in design management or coordination, preferably on Class 2 residential or shopping centre projects. Strong documentation and coordination skills, including proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, or similar software, are essential.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Support the Senior Design Manager in coordinating design documentation and consultant outputs.
    • Manage day-to-day design queries and ensure documentation aligns with project requirements.
    • Liaise with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve design challenges quickly.
    • Ensure designs comply with NSW Class 2 building regulations and industry standards.
    • Provide clear communication across all stakeholders while keeping attention to detail front of mind.

About You:

  • 3-5 years' experience in design management or coordination, ideally on Class 2 residential or shopping centre projects.
  • Strong documentation and coordination skills (Revit, AutoCAD, or similar exposure a plus).
  • Enthusiastic, detail-focused, and collaborative - someone who takes ownership of their role while supporting senior leadership.
  • Based in Newcastle (or surrounds) and open to occasional travel to the North Coast for project requirements.
  • Motivated to learn and develop under a senior mentor - not looking for a step-up senior role.
