Recreational Activity Professional

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic professional to promote emotional and physical rehabilitation through recreational activities and therapeutic approaches in residential aged care settings.

  • Develop and implement recreational activity programs;
  • Conduct assessments and create personalized activity plans for individual residents;
  • Lead group activities/individual sessions as needed;
  • Collaborate with other staff members, volunteers, and family members to identify recreational needs.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Cert IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or equivalent qualification;
  • At least 1-year working experience in aged care settings;
  • A proven ability to monitor and review the recreational needs of elderly people;
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and writing skills;
  • Computer literacy; and a current police check.

In addition, desirable qualifications include:

  • Qualification or experience in therapeutic approaches, such as music therapy;
  • Experience in using Lee Care;
  • The ability to speak additional Chinese dialects or Asian languages.

This is a part-time position requiring 32 hours per week, offering salary packaging and discount childcare fees for employees.
