About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Traffic Engineer to join our team on the Eastern Freeway – Burke to Tram Alliance project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site engineering services and technical support to ensure the planning, implementation, and maintenance of traffic management are carried out in accordance with specified guidelines.
  • Exercise professional judgment and negotiation in resolving traffic management issues.
  • Manage budgets and identify cost efficiencies.
  • Report on traffic engineering performance, compliance, and defects.
  • Conduct risk assessments for developing Traffic Management Plans.
  • Ensure the safety of engineers, workforce, and the general public through the use of appropriate and compliant traffic management plans and control devices.

About You

  • You will hold a relevant engineering degree and have previous experience in a similar traffic/civil role.
  • Proven experience leading and working on large-scale projects with high traffic volumes and technical, logistical, and traffic management delivery challenges.
  • Demonstrate a safety-conscious approach to your daily work, along with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Lead from the front and encourage collaboration between departments to achieve the best outcomes for the project.
  • Excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of issues affecting traffic management are crucial for interacting effectively with local roads authorities and other stakeholders.
