Qantas Freight is a leading freight management company within the Qantas Group, operating as a wholly owned subsidiary. Our fleet consists of versatile aircraft, including the A321, A330, and B737, enabling us to meet the diverse needs of our domestic and international freight operations.
Our Fleet and OperationsWe have a modern fleet of aircraft, with 5 A321s and 2 A330s currently in operation. Our domestic flight operations run exclusively on weekdays, leaving weekends free for personal pursuits. Night flying offers its own unique challenges and rewards, complemented by a close-knit team environment. Depending on roster shift patterns, pilots can expect to fly between 20 to 50 hours per month.
Requirements and Qualifications- An Australian ATPL (A) or an Australian CPL (A) with passes in all Australian ATPL Theory subjects
- Australian Multi-Engine Aeroplane Instrument Rating with 2D and 3D endorsements
- Current CASA Class 1 medical
- ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 6
- Minimum 500 hours flight time in fixed wing aircraft
- At least one of the following minimum requirements:
- 200 hours in command of a multi-engine aircraft (excluding PICUS); or
- 200 hours in command of a turbine powered fixed wing aircraft; or
- 200 hours on aircraft certified for operation by a crew of two pilots (multi-crew aircraft)
- A current passport with unrestricted access to all Qantas Freight ports of call with at least 12 months validity
- Experience in a multi-crew operation or successful completion of a multi-crew cooperation course
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
- The ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test
- The ability to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
- Hold, or be eligible to hold, relevant Australian permanent residency status or an unrestricted right to work in Australia
