Residential Youth Caseworker

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Therapeutic Care Worker to join our team in the Toowoomba Region. As a key member of our support network, you will play a vital role in providing care and mentoring to children and young people with complex trauma.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain effective relationships with children and young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and social development.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment, implementing Behaviour Support Plans and Individual Crisis Management Plans as required.
- Collaborate with other support staff to develop and implement individualised plans that cater to the unique needs of each child or young person.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to children and young people, assisting them to achieve their goals and develop life skills.
- A minimum Certificate IV qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. Youth Work, Social Work, Social Science, Counselling).
- Current HLTAID003 Provide First Aid Certificate or equivalent.
- Valid QLD WWCC (blue card) and NDIS card (yellow card).
- Valid National Police Clearance (within the last 12 months).
- Experience working with young people with complex trauma is highly desirable.
